Our green choice

The collaboration with top-level brands has been a great impetus for the inclusion within our organization of reference figures for the development of GREEN awareness in the textile sector, who daily support production to direct it towards the creation of traceable and eco-sustainable products starting from certified materials. The needs of these customers are supported and satisfied by the team coordinated by our chemical manager, Dr. Lorenzo Mencancini, professor at the Tullio Buzzi institute, scholastic excellence throughout the national scene. The continuous surveillance of our suppliers and collaborators, both upstream and downstream, make our supply chain the flagship of the company.

In this context, our presence on the Cleanchain platform for the fight against harmful chemicals in textiles should be read, as well as on the BCI platform, for the traceability of cotton materials.

The wool mill is one of the few in the Prato landscape to have been awarded the "40 years in WOOLMARK" award, an association that supports the ethical production and traceability of wool.

The new results obtained by our company in the ecological sector in 2021

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognized as the most important standard for the sustainable production of textile products.

The use of organic natural fibers, their traceability along the production chain and the adoption of eco-sustainable processes, has led to the formalization of the international standard GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard).

The GOTS certification ensures in the production the use of natural fibers such as cotton grown according to the principles of Organic Agriculture, i.e. without the use of synthetic chemical pesticides, GMO Genetically Modified Organisms and promote textile products that respect the environment and basic social rights of workers.

Global Recycle Standards (GRS), certifies products obtained from post-consumer recycled materials. It enhances products made in compliance with environmental and social criteria extended to all stages of the production chain. The Global Recycle Standard (GRS) is promoted by Textile Exchange, one of the most important international non-profit organizations for responsible and sustainable development in the textile sector. With this standard, the fundamental importance of recycling is recognized for the growth of a sustainable production and consumption model; aims to encourage the reduction of resource consumption (virgin raw materials, water and energy) and to increase the quality of recycled products.

Eco-sustainability and environment

We are committed to controlling the entire production chain starting from the control of incoming materials, arriving at the disposal of production waste, paying particular attention to the recycling of textile materials, a field where our territory has always excelled having made it the fulcrum of its know-how how.

Already in the seventies, in fact, Prato was recognized as the world center of reproduced wool; this time advantage means that local companies treat textile recycling as something that is now part of their DNA.

The company standards are certified by constant analyzes on incoming materials, carried out in accredited laboratories with which we maintain daily contacts. Safety and quality thus reach very high standards necessary and preparatory to our business.
